# Why Is There a $20 Fee for Warranty Replacements?

We get it—no one loves fees. So why do we charge **$20** for replacements that are covered under warranty?
Great question. Let’s break it down.
### 🧾 What the $20 Covers
When we approve a warranty claim (whether it’s for a manufacturer defect or lens issue under our Saltwater Promise), the **product itself is free**. But we do charge a **flat $20 fee** to help cover:
- **Shipping** (from our warehouse to your doorstep)
- **Processing & handling** (picking, packing, and prepping your order)
- **Customer support & claim evaluation**
- **Sustainable packaging and materials**
We keep this fee as low as possible—**we don’t profit from warranty claims. In fact, it costs us more than this fee to replace a warranty!** We just want to keep the process smooth and fair for everyone.
